If it is going to be used for any thing that might make it flex alot then frame stiffeners are a definite advantage for you to keep your Jeep from tearing itself apart.

I agree. Figure out what your future plans are, lift, size tires, what kind of wheeling and then you'll know if you need em. If you do alot of 3-wheeling gnarly flexing, it would be wise to stiffen up the frame.
This has always been a big debate. Some say it's never needed cuz their jeep never had any issues, while some tear sheet metal or can't close doors anymore.
