Hey guys, long time member. Have had several 4.0 cherokees, first time issue. So I have a 97 cherokee 4.0 stickshift. While going above 70 it will miss HARD. Almost like the whole motor loses power. No CEL no misfires on any cylinder under misfire counter. When it does miss the RPM gauge will fall out. I am thinking crank sensor but it looks ok on the scanner. I am not sure if this PID is crank/cam sync but this goes to lost when it does it. Any help is appreciated.

 

If it's an aftermarket one, you can't be sure the CPS is good.

 

It is an aftermarket CPS. I also have a 99, I may swap them because it is OEM and see.
