CMAHON, I have no personal experience, (my 90 has an ECU), but I've seen posted that your PCM might need a while to learn after an injector swap. Some also (vehemently), post that you need to leave the battery disconnected overnight to completely erase the memory. (capacitors discharge?). With idle problems you might start with cleaning the TB and IAC. Then there's vacuum leaks. Mine would miss on re starting when I had leaking injectors Btw. I did see somewhere if the pressure, (siting), drops more than 20 Lbs in 1/2 an hr, there is an issue somewhere. Didn't mean for this to come out big! > That rear manifold bolt has a habit of loosening. On anything like that you NEVER want to tighten only one. It can warp/bend, even crack things. If I found that any that where easy to reach where loose, I'd pull the air cleaner and tighten them all, starting in the middle and working out towards the ends. I'd go over three times, a tad tighter each time. It's a bear of a spot to get a torque wrench on them all. Just don't ape on it. If its firm and not turning, no point in going on to break it, a REAL *****. The rearmost bolt underneath takes a little doing, but it can be done with the right extension(s?). For that very back one by the firewall I use way long extensions (18"), with a swivel at the socket. Anyway, that's a good thing to check on any old Jeep.

985's are SINGLE platinum plugs. The distributorless system HAS TO HAVE DOUBLE PLATS or regular copper core plugs.

Flashing your ***** at the computer does nothing. All you do is clear codes that way.
You have to do a full 8 hour battery disconnect to clear the deep memory.

I was told to only use the Champion plugs in my 98. I use those. They work well.

Oh, and they were like $1.40 at AutoZone.
