So i'm looking at a new(for me) jeep its a 1998 xj limited with a 4 inch lift and 31's,and it has a K/N air system. With around 130000 on it. How would that compare to my current 1995 xj sport with the original airbox and no lift and standard tires. It also has a hole in the muffler and 125000 on it. I think I get 10-12mpg with it right now. Am I going to see a difference or will it be the same with the set up.

 

If you are only getting 10-12 in the 95 then there are some issues with it. I am getting 16 mpg on 33s and stock gears. The wifes stock 01 gets around 20mpg.

 

so i would see a good increase then??
