Default Might be buying a 2000 with a head problem

Ok guys I sold my 98 and immediately had a panic attack. Couldn't believe I could be so stupid. But we live and learn. I'm going to look at a 2000 with a miss and losing coolant. Figure considering the year it's the chappy head. Head swap isn't an issue I'm just wondering at what point should I walk away? He says it runs with a miss but hasn't been driving it but that's his word. If there is water in the oil is it as simple as draining the oil and refilling a couple times until it's clean? I'd rather not get into the bottom end so I guess that's what I'm getting at. If there is a lot of water in the oil what effect does that have on the bottom end? Thanks in advance guys and gals.

Probably stopped driving it before it stranded him, most peeps don't figure it out until the damage is done. Figure the cost of a new engine into the equation.

Depends how long it's been in there. Bearings and water don't play nicely together.

If it's been that way a few months, well, you probably need to replace a few bearings.
