99 stock, automatic, with 235/75r/15 tires

I am trying to see it my shift points are right on my transmission. i know obviously the shift points are higher when putting it to the floor. I just want to know on a normal smooth acceleration when i am not trying to kill it.

At 35, you should be in 3rd. OD does not kick in until 40-45. On a 4.0 manual, you can run 5th at 35MPH and ~ 1000 RPM.

thanks,

I think when i am accelerating a slow, steady pace ( 0 to 60), i hit second gear at close to 30 mph, 3rd about 40 ish and 4th a about 50 ish.

sound right?

I noticed on some youtube videos of 0-60 cherokee tests that laying on the throttle it shifts first just before 5000 rpm, then again about 4200 rpms or so. is that like pedal to floor?

I run 1000 rpm in 4th gear at 35 mph.. 5th gear bogs down far too much below about 40mph.
