Default Does the brake switch have to be clicked on the pedal to test a new one?

No tails, got a new switch , did the 1/4 turn to take old off the pedal and plugged new one in. Still no tails. I was just thinking today, does the 1/4 turn on to the pedal actaully complete a circuit or something? Or is that just to keep it in place? thanks

The switch isnt the problem, it should work by pressing it by hand. I assume youve already checked fuses?
