Default is this the master cylinder

so i have been driving this jeep for over a year now and the clutch and brake are really hard and i think it would be nice to have soft pedals again.
if it the master cylinder how hard it it to replace.
if not what is it?
any help would be gr8

These two are not related at all. You should check your pads and shoes on the brakes and bleed them and your clutch.

a hard pedal usually means a faulty vac/boost line.
it's the one that goes from the booster to the intake. there is something wrong with that.
you may need to change out your booster.

also, check your caliper sliders. they may be dry.
