Massive coolant leak

As soon as i parked at home today coolant exploded put of my jeep and quickly leaked out all over the street. It was at the front of the oil pan and just under the return hose into the radiator, it was also dripping off of the pulley. Any idea of the cause? New Radiator 6 months ago. Thanks

Looks like your water pump let go.

Seems to the water pump. Make sure to get the pipe that screws into when you replace it as well.

Yeah thats it. When it went it was just spewing out coolant though. I went and bought a new pump and t-stat. Pulled it off and the pump looked A-ok, So I assumed it was just the gasket that burst.

Yep. They'll do that.

At least your coolant looks clean. Mine had mud in it (the result of a cracked 0331), and I'm still finding that crap stuck in places I didn't know it had blasted.
