Marvel Mystery Oil
If I search this forum on Marvel Mystery Oil, I'll find 1000s of post claiming its virtues. I'd never tried it myself, though, and saw it at Wally World yesterday, so I picked up a gallon jug.
But, now, I'm trying to convince myself how to use it. If I do what the instructions say...add one quart in place of a quart of my usual 10W-30, it seems like it will thin the oil down too much.
Seems I'd want to add a quart or two to the crankcase and drive for a week or so to drain/replace like a usual oil change...run the car for about 3000 miles, add a quart of MMO then repeat.
How do most of the folks here use this stuff??

only time i ever use it is pour it in my gas tank tank
i like the fact its a oil, so i feel more comfortable using it. I feel it wont harm the fuel pump as fast as like seafoam.
i did try some in my oil a few years ago in my 91 cherokee
it made the valve tick louder...stopped using it...and it was quiet again
just use it in gas from now on...no more oil additives for me ever again

I actually just put it in my oil for the first time last week, hasn't been long enough to make any difference.
I thought the same, 20% of the oil was a bit much. So i didn't put the whole thing in (I bought a quart size). Put the recommended amount in the gas then put the rest in the oil. I've heard a lot of experienced jeeps recommend it, and the same amount of people say it doesn't work.
PS. I'm running 10w30 Royal Purple
