Default In the market for another..

Im in the market for another 4dr cherokee. Six cylinder 4wd. I want it for some mild wheeling *no more hydrolocking and blowing **** up*. I drive about 20 miles every day back and fourth to work. I need it to be reliable. What year should i be looking for? 1999-2000? i hear the heads on the 2001 are prone to cracking and id like to avoid that if at all possible. Any advice on what to look for or if your local where to look. Thanks for all the advice in advance.

Late-99 to 01 heads are prone to cracking when overheated.

97+ might have the 29-spline 8.25

My '93 has 195k and runs great. So it's really hard to say which year Jeep is 'best'. I think it more depends on how it was maintained. My '94 has 120k and runs great too, but it's undrivable due to neglect and rust.
