Hello,
So I am currently doing a fluid replacement on my 1989 Cherokee, with the 4.0 as well as the 321, and what *I believe* to be the AX-5. The drain plug is easily identifiable, however I havent been able to locate the fill plug. The manual says it is on the passenger side, but all i am able to find is the reverse switch, with three small vertically aligned bolt-type objects just behind and up from this switch plug. There is also a lone bolt which seems a lot like the fill plug on the drivers side about halfway up. There doesnt seem to be the "Do Not Remove" sticker, and my dad swears he filled it from this drivers side plug before. As I'm still very inexperienced with this vehicle, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes I have a suction pump that will hopefully work well. The issue is just that my transmission doesnt split down the bottom/middle like that... I apologize if I am giving you conflicting information here... Like I say inexperienced Ive never touched a tranny before in my life.
