Default manual swap pilot bearing issues need help.

I'm installing a 1991 5 speed manual trans into a 1994 that came as an auto.

The pilot bearing for the 1994 has an outer diameter of 1.000"
And inner bore of .75". Width is .5618"

The pilot bearing for the 1991 has an outer diameter of 1.055"
And inner bore of .5934". Width is a little more as well.
Despite the small difference, it will NOT go in the crank.

So I need a pilot bearing with an outer diameter of 1", bore size of .5934 and width of .5618"
The bore and width just need to be close.

If anyone can help, I really appreciate it.

I wish there were one near by.
I'd have to take vacation or find one I could deal with over the phone and ship it to them.

That was easy. If you need a small job machined, head over to the Garage Journal and ask in the Free Parking section. There are a couple guys on that forum that do small jobs for reasonable prices.

I'll sure do that next time.
I just happened across this 2wd xj about a month ago and am trying to build something fourwheel drive I can drive to work incase we get ice this year.

I would love to came back later and do an external slave upgrade when I put the slip yoke eliminator in after winter.

Maybe I can have the bearing machined for that time.

Practical Machinist has an entire section of their site for requesting items to be machined.

http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb...ring-resource/

I haven't used that section of their board, but for a while I was a member of that forum and they all seemed to be decent folks.
