to the OP:
Sorry I didn't see this earlier. Everything you have described so far (running/stalling issues, windows rolling up slowly, taillights going haywire, etc) points directly to a poor grounding issue.
The main ones you need to be concerned with are the one beside the battery running to the fender (heavy wire), and the one running from the rear of the valve cover to the firewall (strap). There is also one at the oil dipstick tube attachment point on the side of the engine. Any one of these three can cause your issues.
So, to freshen your grounds, disconnect the grounding wire at each end, and clean up the contact points REALLY well with some sandpaper until you see shiny metal. Also do this to the wire terminals, and check the wire itself for corrosion under the insulator (GREEN = BAD = REPLACE). Also clean up the battery terminals really well using the same procedure. Also i would seriously consider actually replacing the battery terminals with new ones. From experience i can tell you just cleaning them sometimes isn't enough.

might as well sell it to someone who can fix it. defiantly sounds like a ground/short issue. if the tail lights are shorted to the reverse lights it can back feed and think its in rev and D at the same time, throwing a NSS code. i would check the grounds, and the trailer harness to see if its rubbed threw or grounded out. could also be a bad converter. either way, good luck with the new heep
