Default major issues!!

So comin home from church and my motor begins to idle at 2000 in drive. Put it in park and it goes to about 3500. Also theres a loud whine within the block, i think it could be a bearing. Would these things have anything in common. Also the whining has gotten much worse since the high idle any ideas???

well sounds like the IAC or TPS went bad which would cause high idle RPM in drive and in park. and whine could be lots of things (bearing, timing chain, ect.)

Whine could be low PS fluid.
High idle is the IAC.
