is there a cal-pack to replace the spark system or do they have something fancy to detinate the fuel.

A cal-pac is a single or double box (depending on 4 0r 6 cyl) that replaces the distributor. usually mounted on the side of the block towards the top. My dodge van and my sisters impala have one. sorry so late with reply been busy with the house.

The 2000 & 2001 Cherokee have Coil packs and no distributor. Hope that answers the question Sport76.

Hey Kansas, how much do you drive per month'ish? do you 4x4 alot? real hot or cold there?

Some maintenance should be done more in different climates. You never said anything about brakes... also good to have a mechanic go through the vehicle to advise.. we can only give good advice on experience but they can check for leaks and whatnot, the dealer is a BAD place to go..

Not high mileage, I am sure if it runs good now it will continue if you just stay up on the maintenance, you dont want to get stuck somewhere..
