Default Lug Stud/Bolt replacement

Hello, all. So I have a '91 Cherokee, which has a lug stud problem. The nut is stuck on the stud, which is spinning in the hub. Joy. I have been doing research on how to get it off, etc, which I believe I can. The problem is, I really don't want to replace the whole hub...and I'm afraid the hole for the new stud is stripped. So, is there a way to get a larger-diameter lug stud to press into the old (presumably) stripped out hole, and if so, what size would I be looking for?

As an aside, I contacted a local shop, and they said that studs don't really have different sizes that you can just order the "next size up," rather, they are pretty much specific for the car, so if that's the case, is there a car that would have a slightly larger lug stud size, that I could buy and try out? Thanks!

Pull the hub and have a new stud welded in instead of pressing it in but after that one is done it will need cut out or the hub is shot! But get a new stud and just weld it in

You can get new longer studs for real cheap on rock auto, use ones for an 01 front.

Are you saying it is just stripped or the hole in the hub is stretched
