Default Lug Nuts

Hi all,

I need to replace several lug nuts on my Cherokee XJ. Just found out that the tire shop guy had tightened them way to much with the shop air tools. I spent some stressful hours trying to loosen them up and during my effort, the chrome covers came apart on some. Now I need to find some new lug nuts but wanted first to see if you had any suggestions on high quality lug nuts. Thanks in advance.

Jake

I have used Gorilla Auto products,

http://www.gorilla-auto.com/

Summit sells them and they come single piece and complete kits. I will be replacing the studs and lugs here soon. Winter time be a coming in my neck of the woods.

If they torqued down on your stuff hard enough to make it hard to remove the nuts.....they mighta tore the threads up on the studs as well, I had a similar problem...I went to Pep-Boys told em what I had...and 3 mins later the pretty lady had studs and lug nutz in hand....15 mins beside the Jeep, and my problem was cured. I thought poppin a stud would be a miserable experience...but it was easy. Almost too easy...but I know it all went together right, so I'm not whinin

Hi again guys and many thanks for all the replies. I am attaching a photo of my current Lug Nuts and also thought it might be a good ide to get a little longer nuts for my wheel/tire tools to get a solid grip on the nuts. The space arround the nuts are very tight. What do you reccomend?

Again, thanks!!

Jake

Might be the best idea from the looks of it.
