Default LSD or not

So im headed out for the weekend and changed my diff fluid for the first time. anywho im a noob when it comes to jeeps and i have been looking at pics of LSD and non LSD diffs and i have read if it looks square like a can its LSD. but a buddy said mine isnt LSD. what should i look for and can anyone verify what it is? its a 1991 cherokee limited w D35C rear. thank you

Not, i dont see any clutch packs or the lsd spring.

what could i use to clean out the old nasty oil without hurting the diff and wouldn't hurt the new oil being put in?

If it was a LSD you would see a spring right in the center it looks like a Z not like the typical spring you would think of when hearing it called a spring. Brake cleaner would be the best to clean it up and it usually evaporates fast. Give it 15 20 mins to be on the safe side but it should not even take 2 to 3.

Here is the LSD out or my 8.25, See the shim packs... Your's doesn't have them..
Brake Cleaner to clean, let it air out for a few minutes & you'll be good to go.

Better safe then sorry ecspecially when messing around with critical componets like a rear.
