Default lower rc control arm problem

So i put the new rough country adjustable control arms in today and the lowers hit on the axle where the shocks mount to. Is it possible that rc sent me the wrong control arms?

I have a 87 xj and installing rc 4.5 lift

If its the bent one then you installed it upside down.

Bend points toward the ground.

The bent part also be on the axle side, not the body. I'm running a RC 4.5" Lift, if you need any pictures of the control arms installed, pm me.

the control arms they sent me are not bent at all. i was thinking that it could be at full flex. there is nothing else hooked up. looked to me that it wasnt low enough to be at full flex but what do i know.

RC designed their new adjustables to work with the drop brackets. they extend far enough, but there is NO BEND in the lowers.

end result, they're useless unless you like improper caster angle.

I had the same problem on mine. ended up torching the hell out of the shock mounts because I didn't have time to wait...and i still couldn't get it quite right at 6.5".

call RC and tell them your problem.

and, FYI, I've NEVER had a single other problem with RC other than this. I like their products.

Hey Aaron. I'm having the same problem as you. When the axle is all the way down full flex it seems to get stuck on the lower shock bracket. What was your fix? (or anyone else). Did you have to buy an extra parts to help out? I'm tempted to cut out a small piece of the shock bracket - but i feel like that should be last resort. Has anyone adjusted the top control arms to compensate for the lower control arms? I'm stuck with my lift until i get past this
any help would be awesome. its the 4.5 RC X-series lift BTW. Thanks guys.
