Lower radiator hose with inner spring

Lower radiator hose with inner spring
Can anyone give me a manufacturer and part number for a lower radiatior hose with the inner spring. I have been to every parts house in Nashville and none have the hose with the spring and they all said you can not get it with the spring anymore.

Just for you mr Winston,seeings you helped me,I spoke with Goddyear and they no longer make pre molded hose with reinforced wire springs inside,what they do make is rubber hose with the spring in it but it is not molded and it comes in 4' lengths,the part number is 38024.

Yeah, but I'm not sure it could be bent to fit the lower connections without kinking and blocking coolant flow. I checked Gates, Dayco, Goodyear, and every generic house brand that the parts stores carry and no luck. They all told me to pull the spring out of my old hose and reuse it. What's the point of replacing the hoses and upgrading the radiator if I was going to reuse old rusted weak parts.

im guessing they got rid of them because they were rusting out and contaminating the motor and clogging the radiator... id say its better to go without anyways... there only 10 and i think they all last the same anyways... the rubbers gonna blow out the same with or without...

radiator hose spring
I changed my lower hose recently (at 260,000 miles) and re-used the spring because it was in good shape (I guess the rust inhibitors in the coolant help) so I doubt you should worry about the spring putting rust in your coolant. It is important to use it because it prevents your hose from collapsing if there is a strong vacuum in the system.

As an update and info for anyone who tries to help a fellow member with overheating issues.
Do not argue with them and tell them that they must have the spring in the lower radiator hose if the hose is replaced with a new piece. Neither Goodyear, Gates, Dayco, or any of the off brand hose manufacturers provide a spring in the pre-molded lower hose. The new reinforced rubber materials no longer require the spring and they are not available.

What the spring needed for? I don't see what it'll do for the cooling. I replaced mines and the new hose didn't have the spring inside. My Jeep doesn't over heat and it stays below 210.

they used to use the springs to keep the hose from colapsing but new technoligies make the hose better with differnt windings molded in the rubber making the spring no longer needed plus it is just one less part to rust and possibly restrict flow in your radiator

That explains why my radiator fluid was allll brown and looks rusty when I 1st bought it. I had to do a good 3 hour flush to get all out. No more spring in hose for me.

when i bought my jeep the PO had just replaced the upper and lower rad. hose. come to find out, the lower hose did not have the spring in it. when my jeep would creep up past 210 it would then shoot straight into the red. it was doing this becasue the lower hose was collapsing not letting the coolant circulate. i called the PO and was told he bought the hose from oreilly's. i call all the part stores in town and no one had the correct hose. so i called the dealership and they told me they had the correct hose for around 26 bucks but i had to pay for it before it could be shipped to there store. i made him call there supply house to make sure it had the spring. low and behold it did. i ordered it, installed it and no more skyrocketing temp. there are still hoses out there with springs. try the dealer

I buy stainless steel springs from FARMTEK which are about 4.5" long. I put 3 in the bottom radiator hose when I change it.
