Having new lower exterior quarter panels installed on my 2000 Sport. Any clue if the inner metal panel can be purchased somewhere? Thanks!

 

I am not aware of the inner panels being reproduced. I ran into this on the driver side of my 97. Those that said they had them did not so i made my own using 22g regular steel replicating every dimple and crease of the original using hand tools. Yours looks salvageable. Grind all that rust down and see what is left. You can replace just the half that is rusted if you like. Just seal it well.

Kinda hard to tell from my parts catalog.

 

That is the part according to the 97-98 parts catalog (enlarge the pic, it is #8), but back when i needed one none of those websites sites actually had it. Dealer could not find one either. It is possible they found stock hidden in a warehouse since then tho.

 

You are probably right in it not being available.
Wouldn't be the first time I have seen this happen.
Your looking for something, get all excited cause you find it (LOL), place the order, they whack your card, and then you get the SOL email
saying that they don't have it, and it takes 3 days to see the credit.
But unfortunately you still have to place the order.
Just in case.
