Default Low Coolant Light

I just recently had a new radiator fitted in my 1997 Cherokee TD Sport and the low coolant light is still showing. The coolant is full and I do not know how to reset the light. I have tried disconnecting the battery for almost an hour but that doesn't seem to have worked. Any ideas?

The low coolant sensor is in the reservior, not in the rad, (I think) so I don't know what replacing the rad had to do with it. Check the reservior and see if the wire got disconnected or something. Hope this helps!!

If you want to reset the system when you disconnect the batteries. Disconnect them then touch the pos and neg terminals together. hold them there for about 30 seconds then hook them back up.

haha i was saying go to autozone and have them remove the codes but don't know if the code readers can remove the coolant light or just the check engine light.

I see, well he may not have an AZ there as he is in Scotland. But nice try. And next time just say what you think and we will jump in and correct you if you make a boo-boo.

I did this and still it didn't work, so then I drained the reservoir a little and refilled it. I pulled the plug out of the bottom which I assume is the sensor, then plugged it back in and the light is now off. So I guess I have reset it now
