i have a loud clanking noise. it will do it every so often while the jeep is idling but does is really loud and fast when i take off. does anyone no wat this could be. it has been doing for more than a month now and i cant figure it out. i no my transmission cooler lines hav a small leak. could tht cause something to make the noise. idk if i can but im goin to try to video tape the noise 2morrow and post it. someone please help asap.

 

check for a bad motor mount causing the exhaust to hit or look for exhaust leaks

 

i dnt really think its a engine mount. and how would a exhaust leak cause the noise. iv thought it was the exhaust but couldnt figure out how. would a loose flex plate cause it to make this noise

 

yes a broken or loose fp could cause it too.

 

i wont able to get the vid today. kinda hard to do. it mainly does it when i tak off. any ideas.

 

Where does it sound like its coming from? Front, back, left, right?

 

oh sorry. the front. and more on the passenger side.
