99 jeep xj help with electrical
I recently bought a 99 xj, stock everything. Today my instrument panel lights, rear liscence plate light and rear tail lights stopped working. I checked all the fuses they are good. What can it be?

If your brake lights still operate when you press the brake pedal then I think the first suspect to check is the headlamp switch. It is needed for tail lights, license plate, and dimmer circuit instrumentation lights.

I think those are indeed on the same fuse, I'd double check the fuse and it's contacts. Then, yea, like Jordan says the switch needs to work. I suppose if there were no voltage at ether fuse terminal it's likely the switch.
