i got a 93 cherokee for free that didnt run i changed the pump in it got it running cranked up ith no problem, but as soon turn the steering wheel or put it in gear rpms will drop it wil start going dead. when you turn th wheels straight again and put in park its fine i dont know if its a vacuum leak or something electronic

 

Sounds like vac issue.. Use starter fluid on lines to check for leak.
