p0700 is gone. Now only p0320 and p1694 remain. I did nothing to clear it.

Fixed splice. Resistance increased from .8 to .9, however, it passed CCKens 2DC volt test perfectly, 0 when off, .02 when on.

Symptoms remain.

You didn't happen to pinch/nick/puncture the wiring harness looms against the firewall when you installed the engine, did you?

When I installed my engine, I nicked the harness loom at the firewall in the area where the cylinder head bolt #14 would be. It didn't cut the wires within but exposed them. I was lucky that time.

Examine all wiring harness looms very carefully for any damage.

Wiggle the hell out of all harnesses to see if it makes a difference. As a note, many of the 2000 FSM DTC diagnostics steps want you to wiggle the wiring harness to see if the fault changes.

I know, I know...'everything looks okay'.

I will begin the wiggle process and see if anything changes.

99 jeep xj - newbie here but I had about the exact problems and mine did turn out to be (believe it or not ... The brake light sensor ) .. Way worse with load (AC on etc.) When I applied brakes I finally realized the a slight rpm change (never noticed this when driving because I'm not 80 and ride my brakes ) ... After realizing this I kept tapping brake peddle really fast and rpm would jump and move up , let off it would stall at times !! 4weeks of sensor tests , ground cleanings , alternator replacement 2 weeks ago , even though it tested good, it was on its way out - which after replacing fixed voltage drop to 10) ! Last night I finally is fixed and was as simple as I originally thought it would be , and knew I was overlooking something (brake light switch)

Nice. Thanks for the info. I wonder how the OP is doing with his problem.
