Loose steering and other problems
I'm looking to buy an 01 Cherokee Sport used from a private seller and I wanted to get your thoughts on some of the issues and how much they might be to repair.
I will be taking it to a mechanic to get it checked out, I just want to have an idea of what I'm facing.
1) The steering was really loose. By that I mean there was lots of play and moving it from 11 to 1 oclock (maybe even more than that) on the highway at approximately 65 mph didn't sway the car much. I've driven about 5 of these and it felt much looser than others.
2) The driver side window motor does not stop when lowering or raising the window. For example when I press down the window goes down then once it is completely lowered the motor continues to turn and makes a clicking/grinding noise until I press up on the window switch. Same in the reverse direction.
3) No keyless entry fob. Can these be replaced? How much do they run?
4) Passenger speaker is out, no noise.
Any thoughts, ideas about how bad these things are and how much they might cost to repair would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

No comment on the asking price , i hope its clean and low mileage.
1)There's an adjustment screw on the steering box where you can tighten it but i would not recommend it. I'm gonna bet on your caster angle being too low...if that's the case, an alignment shop should be able to take care of it.
Or it could be steering component being loose (tierod, draglink.....).
Worst case....$150 should take care of it.
2)Free fix, just search "power window fix"....worst case window regulator $30 (check out "for sale section").
3)Dealership charge about $100 to program each fob....better off getting aftermarket for like $30
4)Either wiring (free fix) or blown speakers....depends on what replacement you looking at, shouldnt cost you more than $50 for a decent pair.
Above suggestion is based on YOU doing the work and they are just a rough estimate.

It's super clean w 64k miles. I think I there is room for negotiation. No cosmetic damage with minor rust on the rims but nothing on the body.
Clean title, no accidents, 2 owners
