Default Loose plug found just hanging near oil filter on my 92 XJ 4.0L

I was trying to find my small oil leak tonight and noticed a small male connector (with 2 wires) hanging next to my oil filter. I searched for a place to connect it or another matching female connector and could not find anything. Can someone tell me what it is, or post a photo of the wires on their 4.0? Any help appreciated or if this has been discussed on here before, link me to the thread? Thanks!

Is the one to the oil sending unit plugged in? It's just above the oil filter.

Your oil pressure sender is broken. That's what that plugs into.

This is what a non-broken one looks like. All yours has left is the metal head of it, as you can see to the right on your picture.

Yeah Thats why my oil pressure guage is stuck maxed out.. Could this be why I'm burning oil bad?

I have had the jeep for about a week, and its my first Jeep. Im loving it, but I want to fix these small things before I hit the trails or mud pit..

Car5car, my xj also has the factory fog connectors hanging under the bumpers. Glad I don't have to run new wires for my fog lights!

Maybe leaking oil, although it doesn't look like it from your pics, but not burning it.
