Loose gas tank
hello
My gas tank can be moved around and I was just wondering if this is normal or should I tighten the back two screws that hold the straps on to make it tighter?
Thanks

That is not normal. You need to investigate how the straps became loose. Did something pull lose or are the straps pulling through the rear panel from excessive rust? Never seen one loosen up on it's own.

Thanks for the info, the person I bought the cherokee from said the fuel pump was replaced recently and I will check straps also to be sure they are secure.

They may have dropped the tank to change the pump and never got it back in place and cinched down. So yeah check those two straps and tighten them.
