Looking for Water Entry

Yeah, that looks like a door hinge to me. But the amount of rust doesn't automatically suggest any water getting in to me. Just looks like normal surface rust. My hinges look much the same and I don't have a water ingress problem.... we do need more info.
Sorry for the lack of info on the original post. The picture shows the rear passenger door hinge (need to rotate 90 degrees). Notice the small gap on the backside of the hinge. The hinge is spot welded to a backplate that in turn is welded to the frame of the Jeep. Notice the gap between the plate and the frame of the Jeep. I get water in the Jeep on both sides near the door column. Not a lot, just enough to dampen the carpet under the seat and the seat belt (the portion that's rolled up into the belt roller). The area in question looks to be an excellent point of the water source.

methinks, the weather stripping needs replacing, or you can RTV that gap between teh plate and frame as you described.
just a suggestion, not gospel!
