it is a 4x4. so is the 181mm vs 230mm just a larger diameter?

My white 01 has been good to me...I bought it 3 years ago with about 80,000 miles...I've put close to 50,000 miles on it with no major issues and I take it wheeling about 3 times a month...I was aware and concerned about the original factory 0331 head that it still had...but so far so good!
