Drive it and see how it feels. Push all the buttons and see if everything works.

140k on the odometer is just getting it broke as long as the maintenance was kept up with. $1850 does not sound to out of range if it is in good shape. Just make sure you take your time and look it over from top to bottom. Trust your gut feelings when you look at it, if you have any doubts then walk away and keep looking elsewhere.

I just bought mine (a 96) with 140k miles...paid $1600 and it is in pretty good shape....runs super but needs a few things...sounds like a good deal to me...around here most of them are running over $2500 with 200K+ miles.

Finally got to see/drive the jeep...very,very clean in and out...rear bumper did have a small dent on passengers side....fluids all good...small amount of surface rust along sides on under-carriage...tires like new(500 miles)...recent rear break job...drove/ran great in both 2wd/4wd...pushed all the buttons, everything worked....no leaks visiable...rear shocks/muffler probably should be replaced...only issue that owner mentioned, brake line developed leak and all were replaced...Common considering age?....Pretty firm at 1800...One more look this week and I guess I'm pulling the trigger....
