Yes, this works if you know how to set up a drive line. You can run this with 5" of rear lift without problems. You will need an angle finder to set up the driveline. But if all you are going to do is start throwing spacers and shims at it then don't bother. But this is a good alternative to an STE with 5" or less lift and it works. This one is old school and is really just a YJ slip yoke designed to take a bigger angle.

so the rough country long arm 6.5 inch would be good as long as i got a sye and cv drive shaft??

the sye kit is only for the NP231 transfer cases.... which transfer cases are those??? what model years will i find one with this? and is there other sye kits for the other transfer cases?

dont know.... dont have a cherokee yet.... haah just want to make sure that when i buy one i dont buy a crappy version with the bad TC so i cant lift it that high.... what TC is the NP231??

so is iron rock offroad kits good? i just ordered there 5.5 short arm lift. when i talked to them they said that i should get the sye and the cv driveshaft so i wouldnt have a driveline vribration. with a 5.5 inch lift will i have stearing problems? thanks

u shouldnt have steering problems cause the kit will come with a new trac bar and stufff like that but yes get the sye and cv drive shaft....

i have no idea on that one but they say its not good to let it shake.... i have heard of ppl doing about that size lift and it not shake at all.... they just got lucky but yea if it were me i would get the sye and cv DS just incase. and what size and type of tires u gonna run with it up that high???

thats cool and i plan on running 33s. the jeep has like a 2 inch lift with cut fenders and its running 33s now.

nice.... i got another question.... if i got the rough country long arm 6.5 oinch kit could i add 1.75 poly spacers to the front and buy and rusty's rear 6.5 inch leaf pack and just use the 1.5 inch shackles that the rough country kit comes with??? would this work as long as i had a sye and cv driveshaft or would something else be thrown off????

ummmm sorry man i am kinda new to jeeps really. i had a 95 cherokee once.. this is the frist time for me buying a lift kit for one so i really dont know. i dont see why it wouldnt work u know.
