I have a '98 xj with 156,000...it has electric locks and windows...all of the windows work but only from the driver door (which is a good thing)...the locks do not work electronically...when I push the lock button I hear a click in the passenger front door as if they are try to work but they do not...exposed wire, harness, motors?

Also at certain time the speedo, tac, temp, etc will go to zero while driving alone as well as my air bag light turns on. A few taps on top of the dash and she wakes up and everything is normal. Exposed wire, harness, etc.?

Are these maybe connected? I'm mechanically inclined but I'm not a mechanic. I'm also broke. If you are familiar please let know if this is something I should take on for a daily driver.

 

Check the connector behind the gauge cluster, it may be loose.

I can't remember the fix for the windows, but I remember it being simple. I don't have power anything, so that part of my memory is fuzzy.
