Default Locker Help

Ok sorry if this has been covered times before, but I am still a little unsure about lunchbox lockers. I have a 1991 xj laredo with tow package. I have been looking to put an aussie locker in my stock D30 front axle. What I want to know is if it is ok to put them in the D30 if its a DD? What problem should I expect to have?

Thanks guys

You will be fine with a locker. I have a powertrax no slip in mine and have no issues. If you are in 4x4 you will notice the pull but not too bad. May also click when turning sharp but its not to bad.

it wont lock up unless its under power. think of it as a ratchet, it will grab one way and slip the other. so in 2wd its not trying to turn the front carrier thus not creating any force to make it stay locked up in a turn

Lockriggt, spartan, aussie... something like thst will work the same. A Detroit is "better" only because it is stronger than the other lockers I mentioned but it will function basically the same.

Sweet deal thanks guys, I will most likely go with Aussie first try I've heard a lot say its best to the price so as long as they all seem to work the same. And yea I've heard Detroits are stronger but not looking to spend that much just yet. But thanks again guys.
