A buddy of mine just gave me a Lock Right for a Dana 30. However, he said that he did a rebuild kit (Simple springs and pins) on it and when he reassembled it he couldn't get it to engage. He said all it would do is click and nothing would engage. Any ideas?

 

When he installed it did he leave in the pinion gear spacers?

 

I have not been able to get ahold of him today. Just out of curiousity, if he did forget, what does this affect and how does it keep the lock right from engaging.
