lock right install - need help with thrust washers
I am installing a lock right lunch box in a dana 30hp, came out of an older 4 cyl xj with 4.10 gears stock. I got everything in (re-used existing thrust washers) and the tolerance gap in the locker was pretty close to 3/8", which is close to 12/32. The ideal tolerance is 5/32.
Why would this happen? Does this mean that there is excessive wear on the axle/thrust washers?
I have a hp d30 in my jeep already. Can I add the thrust washers from that axle to these? This is, of course, assuming that I would be using the same washers, getting the same measurement of washer(s) on each of the drivers of the locker.

Are you sure it was used? They had a reacall of sorts on those a few years back. I got one and the drivers wouldnt even lock up. They had a run that the drivers were machined wrong. Give richmond a holler they can answer your question right off.
