Dash Lights
In my 88 there is a dash warning light in the bottom left corner that looks like a triangle next to an upright rectangle what is this? Its not on or anything I just wondered what it was incase it ever does light up. It looks something similar to this <[]

Heres a picture I think it uploaded upside down somehow but im too lazy to fix it right now you can still get the idea... Its the bottom (well top in this picture) gauge style warning light

LOL...... Sorry guys, but THAT "light" is actually the old AMC logo!! I don't know what it is supposed to be a "dummy light" for though!.....

Thanks guys never would have guessed that. The 89 I used to own had the same dash. I have never seen it lit and perhaps there isn't even a bulb behind it although it looks like it's opaque. I am assuming that more gauges were factory options. As it is my 88 has 2 gauges, speedo and gas. The gas gauge as you can see is gaint and I assume something like a tach was an option which would go in the gas gauge hole and bump the gas gauge to the smaller AMC light slot. I always figured the other lights of this style (oil pressure, water temp, and battery) had the option of being real gauges instead of idiot lights they sure look like they were designed to be an easy switching at the factory. But I could be wrong about all of that

Yeah my 89 has AMC markns on it but has the full gauge cluster. And yes you can switch them I think their plug and plug up to a certain year correct me if I'm wrong.
