Blower motor on lady friend's '98 Cherokee Sport only works on high speed. Looking at the wiring diagram in the Hayne's Manual, it's obvious the motor speed control resistors have bit the dust. I've done some looking around, and haven't been able to locate the resistor pack anywhere that I can see without doing some open pit mining. Am I missing something? Where is the resistor pack on the '98? Thanks in advance.

 

under the glove box area... theres a big black box that houses the blower motor and such. you'll see a small bolt and an access door, unbolt it and pop it off. itll be right there.

 

Thanks a lot. As soon as it warms up a bit I'll have at it. It's up to +9F now and it's a lot nicer here in front of the fireplace than out in the driveway.

I have a similar problem. No blower. I pulled out the motor and it tested good. could the resistor also be a culprit and if so is it located by the motor as well?
