I have a 2001 jeep cherokee sport and every day no matter what i see little smoke coming out from the air vents. it has a weird smell, maybe burn oil, i really don't know. it comes out even if the air is off. If i turn on the air it comes out for a bit and then it dissapears. Is there some kind of filter? something that i can clean? The engine is not burning oil, so i really don't know where is coming from. Any ideas?

 

is it sorta a sweet smell ? Could be heater core leaking. Antifreeze makes a funky smell when it burns off the heater core.

How do i check if the heater core is leaking? It also feels a little bit oily on the windshield by the defroster vents.

 

i had the mist thing out the vets, was heater core , also had a wet floor, check under your carpet .....
