i've seen people putting these in the doors and under the carpet. doesn't it just make it a more quiet ride inside? and keep it cooler when running the air conditioning? has anyone on here done this?

Dyna mat, Is what I used, it's worth it. You don't hear all the little squeaks & rattles as much. Plus you can play music at a fairly loud level, with out bothering the neighbors.

i haven't tried it myself but i have seen/read about people using peel & seal from lowes, its far cheaper than dynomat and has the same characteristics but it is thinner but the simple solution was to just add another layer

I would've probably gone with the Lowe's prod. if I had know about it. (To save money, plus possible added weight.) But it's still worth it. Right now, I have it the front doors, rear hatch, (did them when I replace the speakers) under the rear interior panels, (running speaker wire anyways) and under the head liner. (when I recovered the liner.) Just have the rear pass. doors left to do.

I used this in my front doors and am very happy with the results for the price I paid.

check out http://www.secondskinaudio.com/vibra...lifier-pro.php far superior to roofing products, and better than dynomat. Check out their forums if really interested, at the least spend some time on there site exploring your options.
Look at it this way if your planning on spending your valuable time/money to deaden your vehicle, you might as well do the best job as possible. I've read to many bad things about the asphalt based roofing products.

When I started researching this is the number one thing that sent me looking elsewhere.
Best results would happen like this (so I read) Sludge/Spectrum--Damp Pro/Damp-- then Overkill Pro/Overkill are applied/ The options are endless.
