Quick question... There are three lines that go along the rail under the jeep. The Brake Line, Fuel Line, and ______? What is that third one? It looks like it connects to a short rubber hose that goes up above the gas tank someplace. What does it do? Thanks

That's for the fuel vapor, that goes from the tank to the intake.

I'm pretty unfamiliar with the fuel system... is it under pressure? Is it even necessary?

It's at a little vacuum pressure and you can't eliminate it because you would smell the gas from the tank nor you can tap it because there would be a dangerous pressure build up in the tank in hot days.

Okay, thanks. So if there were a small leak in the hose where it meets the top of the tank, could small amounts of fuel leak out of it? It sounds like it..
