Light cluster on dash questions
I have the dash of and am just checking some bulbs, however it appears as though I don't have all the bulbs. My question is, with my 96 4.0 automatic xj should I have all the lights?

I have a alarm, but I am not sure how to tell if it is factory, and I have a lever for my four wheel, so I can choose. I should be good, but it was really just my curiosity.

Gen as in generator, Lights up when your voltage is too low. Either means bad alternator, bad battery or something else is wrong with the charging system

Thanks! good to know. Mine usually lights up right as I start the car, But so does the cel light. They go off within a few seconds, so I don't think that there is a problem with that.

Do all of my working lights turn on at start up? Because I know I used to have the a part time light when in 4 wheel. Bu I don't anymore, and that light doesn't turn on at start up. Bad bulb maybe?

No not all, ususally just check engine, gen, brake and seat belt. The 4wd light coming on could be the bulb but most likely, is the switch on the transfercase. May want to check the wiring to it.
