Lifting and Towing Question
I recently picked up a 95 Cherokee, 2wd, with 4.0 HO, Auto, 8.25 Chrys rear end and 3.55 gears.
This is primarily a street rig, but will be used occasionally to tow my Pop-up camper. Camper is 2500 pounds soaking wet.
The Jeep is in great running condition, but does need a trans cooler for towing. I am planning on adding electric brakes to the camper for assistance with braking.
OK, I'm getting to my question I want to put a 2" Budget Boost type lift on so that I can run 30 X 9.50. Just think it would look so much better. I'll put coil spacers in front, but not sure how I should lift the back. Needs to be sturdy and safe for towing.
So, for the rear................AAL, Shackles, or Bastard pack? And any suggestions on shocks would be appreciated.
Thanks

if you plan on towing with it, I'd seriously consider some heavy duty springs in the back to support the extra weight, and possibly even regearing to something slightly taller for a little extra pulling power.
But if I had to pick from the 3 you listed I'd go with the bastard pack.

Thanks Donnie K. The bastard pack is definitely interesting. And the price is right. I'd love to do the full leaf replacement, but not sure I can afford it. I'm trying to find the most cost effective "safe" option.
