I'm putting a lift on my Cherokee today I've got it about half way apart and I've already came up with my own 4 step process to put a lift on next time.
Step one: buy matches
Step two: light matches
Step three: throw matches through the window
Step four: "lift" the jeep on a trailor and haul to the scrap yard
If you have any problems completing my new process just PM me and ill explain better.

The bolt is most likely seized inside the sleeve. Cut the bolt on both sides of the leaf spring. You should use all new hardware anyways. I just went through this about a month ago. Had I not tried to save the hardware for reuse, I could have done the whole lift in 5-6 hours. Instead, it stretched out over a weekend.

This. You cut the bolt then you have to figure out how to get it out. I cut the spring where it starts to wrap and remove the spring then get the bushing out by cutting it enough to get to the sleeve, find the parting line, spread it open then work the bolt back and forth so it comes out without breaking anything.

I've had things with 20K on them fight me more than something with 200K.

These bolts are especially prone to rust. Water and gunk like to get up in there and hang around. The only other thing, maybe the net inside the frame rail broke loose. Can you spin it at all or is it locked up?
