have friends. extra hands make it easier. youre gunna have to have a floor jack to lift it up and take your tires off. the coils are easy, just rent a compressor, put it on and compress the coils and take that thing off. compress the new coils and put them back on. then add whatever else you gotta add. if you need any help, google has pictures to help step by step. it takes a while and can be very frustrating. the leafs are the worst!

if it looks pretty rusty underneath you probably will want to get some torches.

Cheap coil compressors, no. Ive seen one let loose and take a workers jaw clear off.

Drop the front axle, put the coils in and jack the axle up into the springs.

Spray pb blaster on ever bolt you will be removing for about a week prior to doing the lift. Air tools really help out a lot and a friend (and beer).

What rear end does it have? Just curious...

You may need to extend your brake lines with that much lift, although every truck and lift will be different. Also, you may have driveline vibrations, which is caused by the lift putting harsh angles on your driveshaft. You may want to look into that end of things.

Also, while you are under the truck, make sure you replace anything warn or old. And get an alignment when all is finished.

i used compressors on mine and it worked just fine. it's much quicker than dropping the axle.

Just treat the compressed coil like a loaded gun....point it at your ex-wife. lol. But I just took a freind to the ER bc we rushed the job and the compressor got his thumb. Just take your time with the compressors and torgue equal amounts on each side.

You will for sure have to extend your brake lines with that lift and lower the case. Hopefully the kit comes with all that stuff.

This was a ASE Certified Mech of 27 Years. Not rushed at all. They give out, and when they do its not a good time.
