That kit just uses a stock shaft that is shortened on a lathe and drilled on a lathe as well. It is not any better or stronger than a HnT, IMHO.

I would almost guarantee that a 2000 is going to need one to eliminate vibes. The t/c lowering is only a temporary measure and will not completely eliminate the vibes but just minimize them.

XJ?2010...here is my 2 bits. If the 4.5" kit is on sale, go for that one. If you get the lesser lift and smaller 31" tires, you will be sorry. I have already increased my lift to 6" and I am saving up for 33" tires. A 4.5" lift looks fine with 32" tires. Take a look at my Avatar. That is a Rusty's 4.5" lift with 32" Pro Comp mudders on my XJ. If your rear springs are still in good shape, in your opinion, save yourself a few bucks and go with the AALs. You should not have to worry about driveline angles. Your 4.5" lift kit should come with a cross member 1" drop kit and 4 degree shims to put between the rear spring perches and your leaf springs. That will take care of any vibe problems. A SYE is NOT needed for this mild of a lift. I do recommend that you spend the money you save on not buying leaf springs, on buying yourself an adjustable track bar. If you feel in your mind that the "move and redrill" option is halfa$$ed for your rig. Then DON'T DO IT. BTW I totally agree with you about that sounding like a halfa$$ed way to make your stock track bar work. Mind you, that is my and your opinion, only. The redrill method has worked for a lot of our brother XJ owners. But, whose rig are we talking about here? Your rig, so build your rig the way YOU think it should be built. I hope this helps.

i heard a lot of bad things about RC's adj. trac bar, like their tie rod ends...they are garbage...

i spent an extra 50 (including shipping) for an IRO adjustable tracbar and am impressed with it...they have a solid track bar...
