I am considering a small lift. my spending limit is around $500 which isnt bad but as im not that much of a mechanic that would have to include labor
I found a local place charging $250 for a 1.5" including shocks 8000 series. labor being around $180. this a decent deal?

If your springs are weak in back I'd just buy new spring from quadratec the heavy duty 7 inch arch spings and that would give you plenty of lift without those stupid extended shackles that just wear out the springs. Then have the coil pucks installed in the front.

Ya.. i think im not going to be able to dive into wheeling like i was hoping, i was really hoping to throw a lift on it and go. i mean i wanted to get it running ok but not throw in a ton of money. i was just undernieth looking at the exaust manifold bolts (i have to tighten them) and i noticed that the front the transmission is missing the cover plate
can you attach that easily or do you have to take the whole thing apart to get to it?

Get ready pal, you're in for a rough ride. Unless you've got a ton "o" cash. every thing you do to her will lead to something else. There aren't many get it and go kits, especially if you're paying someone else. good luck

So i guess the plate that is missing is the clutch cover? its like a half moon shaped plate i think. as i said im not much of a mechanic but is there supposed to be some kind of lube in there?

Alright so a trip to the local salvage yard and i came out with the bolt and plate that covers the speedo sensor. Also got the transfer case linkage bolt. so 4x4 is now working but i have yet to find a sensor, no local shops seem to have it. Also it seems that the last person who replaced the started just didnt put the plate on, so would i have to remove it to put a plate on it? Also the vibration im talking about happens when im just sitting idle. i think it may be the motor mounts?
