Lift Questions
Since my new toy needs tires I figure its a good time for a lift too! (funny how it worked out that way) This will be a full time commuter for a while and just a weekend warrior. Not a full time rock crawler.
I want to run 33s with as big a lift as possible on a budget. New control arms, shims, tranfer case drop down and new brake line I can see. SYE and new DS are just out of the budget right now.
I can afford $600-$700 on an after-market lift but is it worth the money over ZJ front springs and a s-10 bastard pack? Thats money that could be spent else where like bumpers and winch or lockers.
If a new lift is the best way to go should I get new leafs or is add-a-leafs good enough?
Any advice would be appreciated!

if your gunna wheel it i would get full packs instead of aal. they will ride better and last longer. aal tends to sag a lot faster. i have a 4.5 RE superflex and i run 33s. its a bit more than your budget but its an awesome setup and is really worth the money.

Did you have to use SYE and new DS with your RE 4.5 lift?

Yes you'll need an SYE with a 4.5" lift, especially the RE lift since your actual ride height will be more than the advertised amount of lift.
I've got some SYE stuff in the For Sale section.

The stock rear shaft won't be long enough, use a front shaft from any AW4 equipped 91 or newer XJ.
